Automated Notifications in Our Tracking System

Managing SSL Certificates shouldn't be a source of stress. That's why we're excited to announce a powerful new feature in our SSL Certificate tracking system; automated renewal notifications.

Now you can set it and forget it, knowing you'll receive timely reminders before your SSL Certificates or licenses expire.

How It Works

When you access our tracking system, you'll now see a "Manage Notifications" button on your dashboard. This takes you to a simple preferences page where you can customize your notification preferences for both e-mail and SMS alerts.

Notifications are enabled on a per order basis - we'll send reminders at various intervals for those orders.

When accessing our tracking system, we'll check and update expiration data in real time - this is useful when the expiration date of an SSL Certificate has changed due to it being reissued. Before sending a notification we additionally check and update the expiration date if it has changed.

SSL Certificates are regulated and have a maximum validity period; when issued it may be valid for less than the license period that has been purchased. This is normal, each time an SSL Certificate is reissued any available unclaimed license validity is added to determine the new expiration date.

It is your responsibility to disable notifications if they are no longer needed. Customers can obtain multiple SSL Certificates for the same domain name, meaning notifications will need to be enabled and disabled as needed. We suggest disabling notifications if you are no longer using an SSL Certificate or license.

E-Mail Notifications

Our e-mail notification system provides comprehensive coverage for your SSL Certificate management needs.

You can choose to receive reminders for SSL Certificate renewals, which are useful when you need to claim validity from your license and extend the SSL Certificate expiration date.

You can also opt into alerts for SSL Certificate license renewals, allowing you to replace your SSL Certificate and license when both are approaching expiration.

These e-mail notifications are sent at different intervals before the relevant expiry date, giving you time to take action.

SMS Notifications

For those who prefer text message alerts or want an additional layer of reminder security, our SMS notification system delivers critical reminders directly to your mobile phone.

These notifications are sent at different intervals before expiry, providing urgent reminders when time is of the essence. This feature is perfect for ensuring you never miss a critical renewal deadline.

Features That Save You Time

Our notification system includes intelligent features designed to enhance your experience while preventing notification fatigue. The system automatically validates your e-mail address and phone number to ensure notifications reach you reliably.

We generally accept mobile, cellular, and landline numbers capable of accepting SMS notifications, guaranteeing delivery when it matters most.

If your SSL Certificate and license expire within 7 days of each other, our system intelligently manages notifications to prevent overload. We'll only send notifications for the item expiring first, ensuring you take the right action without being bombarded by redundant alerts.

The system also maintains separate tracking for SSL Certificates and licenses. Certificate notifications specifically remind you about free reissues when your SSL Certificate expires but your license is still valid. License notifications alert you when a paid renewal is required, helping you budget and plan accordingly.

Setting Up Notifications

Getting started with notifications is simple. Once logged into our tracking system for the order you wish to manage, you'll see the "Manage Notifications" button prominently displayed on your dashboard. Clicking this button takes you to the notification preferences page.

On the preferences page, you'll find various toggle switches that control different aspects of the notification system. You can enable or disable SSL Certificate e-mail reminders, SSL Certificate SMS alerts, license e-mail reminders, and license SMS alerts independently.

This granular control ensures you receive exactly the notifications you want.

After selecting your preferred notification types, simply enter your contact details. Our system will automatically validate them to ensure delivery reliability. Once you save your preferences, the automated monitoring begins immediately, and you'll receive notifications according to the schedule you've configured.

Privacy and Control

We understand that privacy and control over your communications are paramount, and each customer has different requirements.

Many customers use their own monitoring systems and don't wish to receive notifications. If you do not wish for us to notify you of an expiring SSL Certificate or license you can disable the notification features at any time - you won't receive any notifications unless you explicitly enable them again. This ensures you're always in control of what communications you receive from us.

Your contact information is treated with the utmost security and is used exclusively for the service notifications that you have enabled. We never share your data with third parties or use it for marketing purposes beyond the specific notifications you've requested.
